I had to share about my recent discovery! This man is so talented. I’ve been recording episodes of the Carol Burnett & Friends show off of old VHS tapes onto our DVR, and on one of the shows they were doing sketches from Alfred Hitchcock movies. The first sketch they did was from North by Northwest, and Rich Little impersonated Cary Grant. You would have thought they were doing a voice over, it sounded so much like Cary Grant. I’d never heard anyone that good before! My mom started looking Rich Little up on youtube, and the video I posted is one of the best ones we found. I have never seen anyone do so many different impressions so well – he did impressions of Bing Crosby, John Wayne, Alfred Hitchcock, George Burns, Fred MacMurry, Jimmy Stewart, Walter Brennan, and more. It’s amazing to watch him – he not only imitates the person’s voice, but their speech pattern, gestures, and the way their face moves when they talk. I think the ones that impressed me the most were Fred MacMurry, Jimmy Stewart, and Walter Brennan – he really nailed their voices and gestures. I hope you know who all of these wonderful, famous people of yesteryear are, because it’s so much more fun to watch if you have seen the person being imitated. I hope you get the laughs out of this that I did!
