Those of you who are used to the irregularity of my posting may have been slightly surprised at the fact that I posted two whole days in a row, so I thought I should explain the reasons for my unusual behavior.
Last year, as some of you may know, I participated in NaNoWriMo – (National Novel Writing Month) last November. In a WordPress Daily Post blog post that I had read, those who were planning to participate in NaNoWriMo were encouraged to gear up for the event by doing the Post A Day challenge in October. I didn’t do that last year, but this year I thought I’d give it a whirl and try to post every day this month! Hence, for the next 28 days my awesome blog readers will be getting a post every day! Hopefully I don’t bore any of you so much that you want to un-follow. 🙂 Which brings me to the next order of business:
Thank you to everyone who has followed my blog and liked different posts, both on WordPress and on Facebook. It means a lot to me and encourages me to keep trying to write more! And thanks also to all of those who have encouraged me to pursue writing both recently and in the past – I appreciate it all so much! With that said, my wonderful readers, let me ask you: are there any specific topics or types of posts you’d like to see more of this month? A short story serial? Devotional thoughts? Photography? Stories about real people? More poetry? My thoughts about writing and different elements and techniques? Anything else? Please comment and let me know what you’re interested in reading – I’d love to hear from you, and I’ll take your suggestions into consideration as I plan my posts!
While I am toying with the idea of doing NaNoWriMo again next month (and maybe even posting what I write each day on the blog, if I’m brave!), the main reason for my taking on the Post a Day challenge this month is that I’m getting serious about my blog. Yes, I know I’ve said it before, and I don’t blame anyone if you don’t believe me, but all I can say is that I am more motivated now than ever before to get serious about writing, and I feel that the first step in that is to develop my blog and begin establishing a relationship with you, my readers. And the first step in that is for me to define my “brand” (the look and feel that I want my blog to have), get a web host (which means spending $$! Aah! I must be serious!) and my own domain name, and do a bunch of designing that is probably going to be very time consuming and not what I really feel like doing right now. I’d rather be crafting or playing the piano. But it’s necessary, and I will get it done.
So, there you have it: some of my intentions for the future of my little corner of the web! I can’t wait to see how it turns out!

Yay for more blogging!! I’ve been excited to see new posts from you this week. 🙂 Glad you are going to be posting much more frequently! I vote for a short story serial (or even installments of a longer story), stories about real people, photography . . . and of course the usual peeks into your everyday life, which are always enjoyable. 🙂

Serial stories are the classic ones!
